I went back in history to look at the boys past OL selection. I an looking at the 1993-97 Cowboys offensive line, We have Nate Newton undrafted OG, John Gesek 4th rd 87,Kevin Gogan 8th rd, Frank Cornish 6th rd 90. Dale Helltrae 4th 95, Mark Stepnoski 89 3rd, Mark Tunei Undrafted, David Dixon 9th rd 92, Eric William 3rd, Ray Donaldson 2rd, and Larry Allen 2rd 1994. I wanted to see where the talent was aquired, and I found something more interesting instead. No matter how good the Cowboys were they kept drafting OL, year after year, even though they had good player already on the team.

I t look like the Boys lost the Arbitration case against the NFL. They lost out of 5 million dollars, that almost what the Class of 2012 will cost to signed them all. The boys have currently 5.77 budgeted toward this draft Class. If an GM would of lost this money when this team was so strapped for cash he would of been fired years a go. The fact that JJ has been rebuilding this team with a record of 9 games above 500 over the last 17 years, with no depth. and with 3 major player who will be behind on team reps, it may be a tough season for the boys. Everything the boys does get more magnify when this team just doesnt have the depth to cover for these losses. By the way Coale was lost for most of this preseason with a broken leg that will require surgery.

@osnappp007 You really need to put your dislike to the right person. I have seen some reports where they had warned the Boys about these contract. When it come down JJ just doesnt know how to balance this team budget. You would of thought that 17-18 years would of taught him better. JJ was part of the negociating team, and he even killed us by the NFL having reduce their bddged. JJ saw all of this coming despite your hatred toward the other team. It is not the other team that are holding this franchise back it is JJ. Many franchise can rebuild it self in less than a a couple of year, example Houston, & Greeen bay 2 Year. JJ has been rebuilding this team for 17 years and still can get it straight. JJ would of been fired years ago, if he was not the owner. I am not surprise this happen, I guess I am just getting use to the fact that this team has another hurdle to climb to reach the top and that hurdle name is JJ.

I just want to go on the record I dont speak Cas. The lady has her own voice and Oppinion. I just dont take every word she say serious. The concept of Aikman playing for Romo Team is pure fantasy. They are player who are 20 years apart and had differnt team mates, played under differnt rules of the game and have a differnt way of processing information. About Troy Aikman, he does deserve to be put up on the Pedestal because he and his team mates earn the right to be there being the best team in football in 3 years in the 1990′s. The question who is better is irrelevant and pure speculation. That why I dont deal in Fantasy football. Please give the real hits and blow to the game, now that football to me.

@Californy So is saying (with confidence, even) that, “Aikman would have been an epic failure if he was trying to play on Romo’s team” an example of the overstatement you were speaking about? So in reality, Cas doesn’t *actually* mean that, “Aikman would have been an epic failure if he was trying to play on Romo’s team”, she’s just saying that the offensive line in the ’90′s was better than the offensive line now? Because if that’s the case, then we agree!!

@Californy everyone likes to put Aikman on a pedastal and blame Romo or say he is not as good and use Aikmans rings as an argument, but none of them take the time to look at the much better OL and weapons he had. They don’t comprehend how much better his defense was. Tony has never had a Larry Allen, A stepnosky, a Moose, A Gogan, a Nate Newton, An Eric Williams, let alone an Emmitt or Irvin. Dez and Miles are not even in Irvins league, nor do they have his work ethic. I can say with confidence that Aikman would have been an epic failure if he was trying to play on Romos’ team.

What you people must realise when I talk about other team, I do this to acknowledge who they are. I like what other teams are doing here in the nFL to streghthen their team. If I comment on SF, Philly, Texans or any other team, I can see their plan in work and see how that plan build on what happen with their team from year to year. I just dont see that with the Cowboys at all. Last year the boys went young on the offensive line. That didnt work because the talent was just not there. This year plan was to go big, It too early to see if that will work. But I cant help to see where these players are being selected from. With the exception of Bernardeau, who was drafted in the 7th Rd, and Arkin who was drafted in the 4th, all these other player in competion for the OG and Cener position were not even drafted at all. If you look at Arkin ranking , he was not even a top 15 Guard at his position, this was a major reach for the boys, that may explain a reason he has struggle to even get onto the football field. You dont draft players with this so low of ranking in the draft. You get them as undrafted FA.
