Will The Texas Rangers Reclaim First by Next Weekend?

As we wave goodbye to the Blue Jays tonight, it is with much anticipation the Oakland A’s visit the Ballpark in Arlington. A four game home series is just what a second place team like the Rangers need to change the tide and swing the standings back into their favor. But looking ahead is a dangerous thing to do when the Rangers currently hosting a Blue Jay team that has done very well against the Rangers of late. The Rangers could sure use a win today against Toronto to carry some momentum over to the ultra important matchup against Oakland.

If the Ranger win against the Jays and win the Oakland series they can reclaim 1st place in the division. To do so they need to correct errors, play with smarter base running, smarter pitching, and more energy. It sounds like a lot but these are things Ranger fans expect.

Better news?

Ian Kinsler plans to return this week. He will provide some much-needed offense to a club struggling to support their pitching staff. What say you? Do the Rangers have a chance to get first place back in less than a week?
