It didn’t take long for the Cowboys Defense to show some improvement in the turnover department.  Demarcus Ware picked off Manning’s first pass attempt of the game.  The Defense forced a turnover on each of the Giants first three possessions.

The Offense however could not capitalize when they were given the ball.  The Offensive unit looked really shaky, with Terrance Williams making a crucial mistake at the Goal Line leading to an interception.

Dez Bryant was not much of a factor early on with Miles Austin being the main target.   The Cowboys were playing a dink and dunk type Offense and not taking any shots down the field.  Tyron Smith and the rest of the O-line held up really well in pass protection.   Romo consistently had a clean pocket and the Touchdown pass to Witten late in the first half was right on the money.

Manning hit Nicks early in the first quarter for a huge gain but the Giants couldn’t capitalize because of a David Wilson fumble.  Other than that big play to Nicks, the Giants Offense looked a little rusty too.

On the Giants possession after the Witten Touchdown they scored on a huge play from Manning to Cruz.  On the play there was a blown coverage by Will Allen who appeared to be lost before the snap.

Terrance Williams Appeared to be in over his head.  He had a couple of drops and did not seem to be playing with any confidence.  Having him in the lineup really hurt the Offense in the first half.   Romo took a big hit right before halftime and he lay on the turf for a moment.  Apparently he just had the wind knocked out of him and he returned for the second half.   It was 13-10 for the Cowboys at halftime.

The Cowboys Offense opened up the second half with a quick 3-and-out.  On the Giants ensuing drive Wilson was stripped again.  Nick Hayden forced the fumble that was picked up by Barry Church who took the ball in to the End Zone for a Touchdown. Manning had his way with the Cowboys D in the 4th quarter bringing the Giants to within 6 points with 5 minutes left to play in the game.  The Cowboys were unable to move the ball and the Giants got the ball back at their own 17 yard line with 2:41 left in the game and 2 timeouts left.   With the Giants driving close to mid-field, Carr picked off a tipped pass and returned it for the game sealing touchdown.
