When the Dallas Cowboys roll into Arrowhead Stadium for their week 2 match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs, they will actually be 2.5 point underdogs.  This will be a tough game in a tough environment for Dallas.  The Chiefs have a talented Roster and a pretty darn good Coach.

Tamba Hali, Tyson Jackson, Derrick Johnson, Eric Berry and Brandon Flowers are all very good players on the Defensive side of the ball.  Justin Houston and Dontari Poe are far from slouches as well.

The Chiefs also possess a strong Offensive Line to protect Alex Smith and open up running lanes for Jamaal Charles (who is expected to play).  Alex Smith does not make a lot of mistakes, and if given time should be able to find holes in the Cowboy’s Zone Defense.

For the Cowboys it is imperative to stop the Kansas City rushing attack.  Alex Smith does not throw the ball deep all that often and the Cowboys could live with short high-percentage throws.  As long as Dallas makes the tackles that are in-front of them the Chiefs passing game should not beat them.

The Cowboys Offense has to find a way to get the ball downfield in this ball-game.  The Chiefs could be hard to run against.  The short passes the Cowboys used against the Giants are not going to get it done week in and week out.  If the Offensive Line holds up well in pass protection the Cowboys have to take some shots down the field.

Look for Dez Bryant to have a big game despite his foot injury.  I would also look for Dwayne Harris to take more snaps as the number 3 Receiver.  He does a good job when given a chance and Terrance Williams did not have a good game last week.

I think this will be a hard fought game that will be close the whole way through.

Key Player:  Sean Lee needs to have a big game and I look for him to be the difference for the Cowboys Defense on Sunday.  He has to make an impression in this game for the Cowboys to win.

My Prediction:  Cowboys 24 – Chiefs 20
