The Offense started out well, Romo being able to connect with Bryant early on. They however were not able to sustain the early success. The two fumbles and the inability to put the ball in the End Zone when needed cost them the game.
The Cowboys Defense played well containing Jamaal Charles, and for the most part not getting beat on the big-plays. They were not able to force the Chiefs Offense into making any game-changing mistakes in this ball game.
The Cowboys Offense could not make enough plays when they got into Chiefs territory. They settled for Field Goals instead of scoring Touchdowns. This has been a bit of a problem for them for a few years now.
Dez Bryant came out to play today, making some big time catches in the passing game. They could not find any rhythm in the running game and it affects the Offense in a negative way. They continuously have to rely on Romo to win the game for them.
The Defense did a good job of bailing out the Offense after they turned the ball over, but they could not make a stand on the final drive to get the ball back for the Offense. I did not agree with the Pass Interference call on Claiborne.
Final Thoughts: Although the Defense did not create turnovers they did play solid throughout the game. It was disappointing that they could not get off of the field on that final drive. The Cowboys have to find a way to get the run game going, this is imperative. They also must put the ball into the End Zone when they get into the opponents territory. Settling for Field Goals cost them the win. Dallas should be encouraged by the play of the Defensive Line thus far, it has held up descently so far against the run. They have to find a way to improve the run game and be more aggressive on Offense.
