Dallas Stars and Dallas Cowboys: What to Watch this Weekend in DFW

Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars are only a couple games into this rebuilding season of hope. The results are an even 1-1 as they pack their bags and head out on the road. This weekend they face the Jets and the Wild. It’s difficult to know what to expect since they themselves aren’t sure what to expect. Coach Lindy Ruff has been experimenting with the lines in practice as he searches for the best combination. It’s probably best to expect tinkering all season as players establish themselves and chemistry is/isn’t developed.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys slipped back below .500 last week in the predictable loss to the undefeated Denver Broncos. This week they look to even their win/loss record with a win against the Washington Redskins.

The Redskins, picked by most to win the NFC East, have been having a horrible season. Their defense slipped worse than last year and their offense lacks the explosion it had with a healthy Robert Griffin III.

The Cowboys, fresh from the “moral victory”, should be able to enact some vengeance on last year’s division winner, and do just enough to keep fans from jumping off the ledge.
