The Cowboys take their 2 game winning streak to Detroit to take on their mirror image of a team, the Lions. I had this as the 2nd toss up game of the year. The Cowboys will have to control the offensive line to give Romo a shot. If they can do that, this could end up a great back and forth game. Look for Jason Witten to have a good game. He seems due. All that being said, I still think this game goes to the Lions.

This is a big game for two 4-3 NFC teams, with potential tie-breaking factors later on.  Both teams can move the ball on offense and both teams are inconsistent on defense.  It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys can continue their defensive improvement.

The Lions have perhaps the best offensive player in the League and the Cowboys have to find a way to limit his impact.  Detroit does not have a lot of weapons after Calvin Johnson so slowing him down is the key to this game for the Cowboys.  This could be a high-scoring shoot-out type of game, but I expect both defenses to play good.

It will be hard for the Cowboys to run the ball so Tony Romo needs to be smart with the football and hit the big throws when they are there.  If Dallas can minimize their penalties and avoid turnovers then they will win this game.

Prediction:  The Cowboys win their second straight road game and third straight overall beating the Lions 28-20 at Ford Field.
