At the midway point in the 2013 season, the Dallas Cowboys find themselves in familiar territory – a mediocre team with an equal number of wins and loses. Coming off back to back 8-8 seasons it should be no surprise the Cowboys are right on track to repeat history once again.

But all is not lost. The NFC East is weak. Very weak. 8-8 may just be enough to win the division. That’s nothing to be proud of but it’s the reality of the situation and it happens to work in our favor.

Today we look ahead at the upcoming schedule. We make predictions and (sometimes dangerous) assumptions to see what it will take to win the NFC East and if the Cowboys have what it takes.

And as an aside, make sure to check out the TicketCity Blog for a great piece on AT&T Stadium.  They provide an event guide on what it’s like to visit AT&T Stadium for a Cowboys game.  It’s a must read and frankly, it’s a must that you try and catch a game down the stretch to cheer on the Boys.  All the support will be needed in order to take the NFC East crown.

Week 9

Minnesota Vikings: Win

If there is ever was a predictable win this is it. The Vikings are atrocious and the Cowboys should have no problem lighting them up. Cowboys move to 5-4

Week 10

New Orleans Saints: Loss

The Saints are just a class ahead of the Cowboys. This is possibly the second easiest prediction to make. Unless they lose Drew Brees, the Saints should send the Cowboys into the bye week at 5-5.
