Prediction: Reid Hanson, Sport DFW, Editor and Lead Writer

The Dallas Cowboys will be eager to get on the field and put that dreadful Chicago game behind them. On Monday night, the Cowboys defense was absolutely embarrassed. They allowed the Bears to convert 3rd downs at will and were unable to force a single punt. The Cowboys are clearly looking to earn back their respect in Dallas this afternoon.

Lucky for the Dallas Cowboys, star QB Aaron Rodgers will not be playing. Matt Flynn, roughly the 4th QB, will be playing in his absence. The Cowboys will lean toward the blitz and rely on man coverage to make things as uncomfortable as possible. With the inexperienced LBs starting for Dallas they will try to avoid as many coverage assignments as possible. Brandon Carr, Orlando Scandrick, and Barry Church will be leaned on heavily.

The Green Bay Packers, sans Aaron Rodgers, still pose a threat. RB Eddie Lacy will help provide a balanced attack as the primary ball-carrier in the Packers rebuilt offense. Dallas will want to get up early to neutralize Lacy’s impact and to relieve pressure on the struggling D-line.

Expect big days from Romo and Flynn as the passing game is set to explode in Big D.

Prediction: Dallas 32 Green Bay 27
