Jakes Takes: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins look to play spoiler on Sunday when The Dallas Cowboys come to town. The Redskins have suffered through a nightmare of a season, while the Cowboys have been, well, the Cowboys. Dallas has continued it’s .500 ways and currently sits at 7-7, desperately needing a win to keep pace with the Eagles. The Cowboys defense has been as bad as anyone could have imagined and the offense needs to be tased.

Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, the Cowboys are going to be making some significant changes this off-season. The Coaching staff and a handful of over-priced vets need to hit the road. I really wanted Garrett to get another year but that changed after the Packers game. They need whole-sale philosophical changes on both sides of the ball.

This will most likely be a close game, the Redskins can run the ball and Kirk Cousins looked good last Sunday. Add to that the Cowboys defense and it could even be an ugly loss for Dallas. If the Cowboys were smart they would run the ball with DeMarco Murray and throw off of the run, but smart they are not.

The Washington defense, no matter how bad, always play Romo and the Cowboys tough. I would expect the same in this game.

What To Look For

Look for the decimated Dallas defense to blitz ALOT and look for them to create at least a couple of turnovers.

Look for Murray to get his carries in this matchup, he is a good runner and needs to be given a chance.

Look for Jerry Jones to sport a headset, he could come in handy down the stretch.

Key Cowboy: Dan Bailey, he is the Cowboys only reliable player, you know what you are getting from him.

Prediction: Redskins beat the Cowboys 28-27 and end this circus of a season for the Dallas Cowboys.

There are no changes that the Cowboys can make to become a winner as long as Jerry the Joke, the worst owner in the NFL, is making the decisions.

The only good part when Dallas loses is that Jerry Jones dies a little bit more.
