Cupid has struck again this Valentine’s Day, capturing hearts of thousands of SMU Mustang fans.
SMU Athletics announced Friday that all three remaining home games of the season are sold out, collating a total of seven-sellouts this season.
The Moody Coliseum’s multi-million dollar renovation is reaping the benefits rapidly as the record tops the five-sellouts in the 1984-85 season.
The remaining games sold out are on Feb. 19 against Houston(12-12), and on March 1 and March 5 against the University of Central Florida(9-13) and Louisville(20-4), respectively.
The Mustangs can’t be stopped at home, breaking yet another record of 13-home wins with seven of which gained at the New Moody.
Though the undefeated streak exemplifies the “home court advantage” expression, SMU has proved they can win outside of Dallas as well.
The Mustangs are coming off a 77-65 win over the University of Rutgers(10-15) in New Jersey, putting the Mustangs at 5-4 on the road leading into the second round of conference play.
The 20-5 Mustangs are in the No. 23 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll as of Monday, the first time in nearly three decades the program has been ranked.
Though remaining tickets for home games are sold out for the 2013-14 season, SMU Fans can fill out a form here to express interest in the 2014-2015 season ticket list.
