NCAA Tournament Predictions: Michigan State Brings Home Title

Michigan State features the best blend of coaching and talent in this year’s NCAA Tournament. The Spartans are playing their best basketball of the year after dominating the Big 10 Tournament in Indianapolis. They easily handled Northwestern and Wisconsin before dominating Michigan by 14 in the championship game. This team is hot and finally healthy.

Keith Appling (wrist), Branden Dawson (hand) and Adreian Payne (foot) all missed time due to injuries. With different guys out throughout the season, Michigan State suffered through inconsistency. They lost to Nebraska and Illinois at home. Their shot at the Big 10 regular season title evaporated, going to that school in Ann Arbor instead.

Despite the struggles, Tom Izzo’s group battled back. The Spartans now find themselves as the tournament favorite, according to several prominent ESPN analysts. March is always full of surprises, but it’s tough to bet against Izzo during this time of the year. Expect Sparty to cut down the nets on April 7 in North Texas.
