Well. Finally, someone got these mock drafts right!

    • Ryan Ratty

Thanks a lot! I love doing mock drafts so I’m glad to know I made one person happy!

  • Chad

OldFrog is doing backflips right now! hahahaha

    • Old Frog

      :)

      • Ryan Ratty

I would be too if we drafted Martin. Thanks for reading, guys!

  • David

I would not hate it but you know how I feel about not having a legit safety. And with Pryor still available Id not be to happy as a fan going in with Church, Wilcox, Heath and the Trainers Room MVP Johnson.

    • Ryan Ratty

Thanks for the comment, David. That’s a good point, but it seems like Dallas doesn’t feel the need to draft a safety early.

      • David

I dont know how haha..I really hope thats a smoke screen.

        • Ryan Ratty

Good point. Smokescreens are always happening this time of the year. For example, the Vikings basically said that Manziel has a lot of concerns. That could just be a smokescreen so he can slide a little bit.

          • CowboysWin

could be but this class of safety isn’t good. Deep in the trenches and at wide receiver, even OT, but safety – meh – not a 1st rounder and definitely not a FS, unless they want to clone Barry Church or bring back Roy Williams for some more coverage highlights (santana moss style)

          • Ryan Ratty

            Like it haha.

  • Alex Darden

Looks like a good mock to be honest. Have one question though, Lewan. Is it his character issues or what that you had him slide so far? Just wondering because I know many teams have him ranked above Martin. Is Martin just a better fit for us because he can play inside at guard the 1st yr or 2? Have to admit I have not seen much tape on either…

    • Ryan Ratty

You said it… Martin has the ability to play guard too. I like Lewan, but this tackle draft is decently deep and teams can get a guy similar to him in the second/third round. Also, NFL teams don’t really care about combine results. That said, many teams are concerned with how he played in 2013 with Michigan. It wasn’t too long ago when he was getting blown back by defensive ends from Akron.

      • Alex Darden

        Gotcha, appreciate the insight.

        • Ryan Ratty

          No problem, Alex!

  • Keith Ranson

Excuse Me, But, We Need Defensive Help More; We Can Get Some OL Depth In the Later rounds.

    • Ryan Ratty

No doubt. Great point. I wouldn’t mind going defensive line early either.

  • Ralph

Anthony Barr isn’t on the mock if he falls to the cowboys he’s a no brainer

    • Ryan Ratty

Always have liked Barr. I think his game is better suited for college. Also in Dallas’ 4-3, it’s hard to see him being a contributor right away. He’s too small to play defensive end.

  • brian basile

My draft wish list is Pryor/Dix 1st, Creighton/Murphy 2nd, Richardson/Dozier 3rd, Christian Jones 4th, Brad Smith 5th, trade into 6th and get Michael Schofield and if Aaron Lynch is there in seventh….Im stoked…EVERY one of these players fill a need and I can see contributing right away ….We may even be able to trade back a few spots and still get one of the Safeties, lets say with Jets and pick up a 4th..With that pick I take McCullers DT Tenn

    • Ryan Ratty

I like your draft, Brian. Problem is that I don’t think Crichton will be there in the second. I also don’t think Dallas drafts a quarterback after signing Weeden. Really like Schofield and Lynch though. Another thing, Daniel McCullers is a beast. But, he is more of a 3-4 nose tackle.
