With only a month to go until the NFL Draft, it seems like a good time to review the roster and assess the WR situation. The Dallas Cowboys recently designated Miles Austin as a June 1st cut meaning his time with the Cowboys has officially come to end. Austin’s departure leaves the Cowboys in an interesting position heading into the 2014.

The next week we plan to provide daily profiles of the Dallas Cowboys’ WR unit. In the end we hope to answer the following questions:

Do the Cowboys need to bring in a reliable veteran to fill Miles Austin’s shoes? Is Terrance Williams able to fill Austin’s shoes as the #2 WR? If Dez Bryant is lost to injury will the Cowboys be able to survive? Who on the current roster is most likely to breakout in 2014?

Look for those answers over the next week. We will start at the top of the depth chart and move down as the week progresses. Today we take a look at Dez Bryant.

Dez seems to have learned the fact that inches don’t matter. :)

I think Dez is a very good receiver but I do not believe he is worth anywhere near what he’s going to ask for next year so in that sense we probably need to draft a WR so we won’t be left hanging if JJ has the guts to let him walk rather than pay him $10 million a year with $35 million guaranteed or some such crazy number.

Yes we do ! ( Evans,Matthews or Davis)

I think it would be a good idea to grab one or two, as long as we wait until Day 3. Shaq Evans, L’Damien Washington, and Kevin Norwood are my favorites right now.
