Think The Dallas Cowboys Are Finished? Think Again!

All you hear these days regarding the Dallas Cowboys is doom and gloom. They have presumably been written off before the Season has even started, quite frankly I think this is ridiculous.

The Cowboys play in the wide open NFC East, you’re telling me that this team has no chance to win this Division? You can bet your last dollar that they have a chance. I think at the very least they will be there in week 17 fighting for the Division Title. It is absolutely crazy to me to think other-wise.

This is the time of year every team in the League has hope but all you hear is, “the Dallas Defense just won’t be better and Tony Romo can’t possibly stay healthy” and yadda yadda yadda. To me all of this is rubbish and makes me even more eager for the Season opener.

Let’s look at the rest of the Division for a second. The Eagles Defense sucks too and actually gave up more big plays than the Cowboys did last year. Do you think that Nick Foles is going to only throw two picks this year? I think that Philly will finish third in the Division.

The Giants are in rough shape as well. You never know which Eli you are going to get and they have major issues on Defense as well. The one and only way that the Giants win the East is if Eli Manning has a stellar year. Are you banking on that? I’m not.

The Washington Redskins are the team that kind of scares me a little bit. If RG3 returns to his rookie year form, that could be dangerous. The Redskins Defense has a bunch of question marks too but they always seem to show up against the Cowboys.

I fully expect that week 17 match-up between the Cowboys and the Skins to be for the Division Title.

To say that the Cowboys are hopeless and such is premature to say the least. As it stands right now I predict the Cowboys to beat the Niners on September 7th.

The Cowboys have a tough schedule this year and it could really serve them well if they do in fact make the Playoffs. The problem that Dallas has had is not playing with contenders, it has been playing down to competition. If they can beat the teams that they are supposed to beat then they will be fine, those teams include the teams in the East.

Everybody and their mother knows that this Defense is going to be a work in progress. Forget about that for a moment, think about the Offense. This Scott Linehan led Offense is the key for the Cowboys this year. This Offense has the potential to be great, the Defense will get better as the Season rolls along.

Before you all go and get your skirts tied up in a knot, remember the Cowboys play in the NFC East. This Division can be had by any of the 4 teams with-in it and it will be had by the Cowboys…
