Just As I Suspected, The Offense Could Be The Cowboys Demise

I don’t mean to sound like a broken record but I have mentioned several times that the Cowboys offense needed some mending. The defense sucks, everybody knows that but if the offense had played better last year, this team would have made the playoffs.

Last night, against the Miami Dolphins, this offense was at it again. They looked as un-coordinated as they did last year. So what gives? Is this what we will see this year? I don’t believe so. Last year was Jerry’s fault. He forced Jason Garrett‘s hand, which led to Bill Callahan being the coordinator. Scott Linehan has to correct this, or Dallas is doomed.

With their schedule and this defense, there is no slack to give. It is officially go big or go home for this organization. If the offense can not carry the load then what is this team going to rely upon? Luck? Not a chance.

I realize that this was just a pre-season game but this was the “dress rehearsal”. They were supposed to look good, and as it turns out, it was the defense that looked good. Imagine that. The Dallas Cowboys have two weeks to get their ducks in a row offensively and they had better get to it.

The offensive line looked like a sieve and Tony Romo put up 2013 numbers. It can’t happen. Not this year. There are a lot of jobs at stake, first and foremost, Jason Garrett’s. He had better get this unit looking like the 2007 version in a hurry, the pieces are there.

The clock is ticking and the Dolphins do not have a premier defense, so chop, chop. Maybe the defense won’t be the problem after-all.
