The 2014 NFL Draft is in the books and one of my favorite times has started. The UDFA period is where the Dallas Cowboys have found players like Tony RomoDan Bailey, and Miles Austin. Every year I do research on who these guys are and love to figure out who has the potential to make the team and contribute. In the following pages you will see who has been confirmed so far and a list of those who are rumored to have signed. Enjoy the breakdowns!

Great article! I’m really happy somebody took a look at the UFAs. I just wanted to say two things: I thought you’d find it interesting that Waley has actually played a variety of positions, including running back and tight end. A good deal of fans are really excited for him, so he’s good guy to keep a close eye on during camp. Also, I disagree that Dustin Vaughan doesn’t fit. He was the runner up for D2 Player of the Year and has an absolute cannon. I think he could very easily hold a practice squad job and jump into the #3 role if Orton doesn’t come back (thus meaning I think he could beat out Hanie).

I went by current roster. If Orton doesn’t return it opens the 3rd QB. So as of today the best he can hope for is impress enough to push for 3rd or get on the PS. A few of these guys played multiple positions, If Whaley can keep the weight fluctuations down he could be a great addition.

I don’t get why we would bring in a left handed QB for an extra arm being all we have are righties….You want to simulate real games and that throws everything off from protection to routes….Was disappointed they didnt get Jeffcoat,Quarels, Brad Smith or Crowell….

Who knows why the lefty. As for Jeffcoat and Quarles, the Cowboys said they didn’t fit scheme wise…the other 2 could have been they said yes before the Cowboys offered to them.
