The 2014 NFL Draft may be three months away but it’s never too early to starting mocking. Today we’re going to mock all seven rounds of the draft for the Cowboys. We will take a look at who may be available and who the Cowboys could be targeting. Assisting Sport DFW today with this seven round mock draft is Fanspeak.com’s Mock Draft Simulator.
Fanspeak’s Mock Draft Simulator combines player rankings with team needs in order to determine what pick each team will make. The weight of each variable will shift slightly from draft to draft so each time a mock draft is conducted the results will slightly vary.
Have you ever found yourself screaming at the TV on draft day, calling Jerry Jones an idiot and boldly stating how much better you’d be as a GM than he is? Here’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is and mock it yourself.
Follow Sport DFW as we take an early stab at drafting through Fanspeak’s simulator. At the end, we will link you in and let you take a shot at it.
1st Round
DT Ra’Shede Hageman Minnesota
Profile: Standing at 6’6″ and 318lbs, Hageman is physically imposing. Picture Tyron Smith on defense. Hageman can play multiple positions on the line but is clearly best suited for Jason Hatcher‘s (soon to be vacant) 3 technique DT spot. He has burst, speed and strength to thrive in the NFL. He disappears on film a bit too often but if he can stay motivated, he could be a star in the NFL. Hageman has been ranked all over round one. As the draft nears, expect him to rocket up teams’ draft boards. The potential is too temping and Hageman’s ability looks a lot like last years’ Sheldon Richardson.
