1st  – Trade with Chiefs for 1st (23), 4th, and 7th round pick

The Cowboys could probably trade for a later first-round draft pick and acquire a 3rd rounder as opposed to a 4th and 7th.  However, it is imperative that they pick before teams such as the Bengals and Saints who many feel will take a D-lineman.  Plus, winning the coin flip was crucial – if a top WR is available, teams will be eager to trade up to pick before the Ravens, who may be looking to take a WR themselves.  The Chiefs seem like a team willing to pay for that “extra piece” and their 23rd first round slot would allow the ‘Boys to still pick up a defensive lineman ahead of other teams in search of one.

1st – DT  Aaron Donald – Pitt

Truthfully, I think the team will go “Best Defensive Tackle Available” here.  The top defensive linemen are so clumped together as of now, it’s hard to predict who will come off the board first.  Donald, however, is the most likely to fall due to his size.  Still, keep in mind Ra’Shede Hageman (who looks like a young Jason Hatcher) and Timmy Jernigan.
