Round 4, Pick 115: Aaron Lynch, Defensive End, South Florida
If the rumors on DeMarcus Ware are really true, the Cowboys have some needs at both of the defensive end positions. While I really like George Selvie, I don’t see him having a long-term future in Dallas. The Cowboys could really use another beast on the outside, and that’s exactly what Aaron Lynch is. He has the ability to make an impact all over the field. No one is doubting his athleticism, but Lynch just didn’t perform as many thought he would in his two years in college football. If he had a little bit of production at South Florida, Lynch would most likely be a first round pick. A combination of Marcus Smith and Aaron Lynch would give the Cowboys some nice players for the future. Both have potential to be studs in the NFL. I’m not always a fan of drafting project players, but I know that Marinelli will be coaching them. Because of that, there is no doubt in my mind that Dallas should take a chance on these guys.
