6th Round – Kevin Norwood, Alabama

Quick, quick, quick.  6’2 Norwood ran a sub 4.5 40-yard dash and finished among the top in the 3-cone drill, completing the course in only 6.8 seconds.  He’s a lot like Dwayne Harris, a tall guy with decent build and the ability to make defenders miss.  Perhaps most importantly, though, is that he was AJ McCaron’s favorite target, finishing the season with 7 touchdowns, plus one in the BCS Title game.  This indicates that Norwood is perhaps meant for more than just special teams.  Again, not a significant upgrade, but the combination of reliability and speed is always, always desirable.
