Round Seven, Pick 238: Ross Cockrell, Cornerback, Duke
Ross Cockrell is disrespected when it comes to this year’s cornerback class. At Duke, Cockrell was the epitome of a student-athlete. He is a smart guy in the classroom, and he isn’t too shabby on the football field either. Cockrell has decent size for a cornerback, and his coverage skills are terrific. Dallas selected B.W. Webb last year, but it was easy to see last year that he isn’t ready for the NFL. Cockrell could be a good fit in this defense.
