7th Round (6)

FB J.C. Copeland

5’11” 271

Copeland doesn’t exactly match what the Cowboys are trying to build in Dallas. The Cowboys are still fully invested in the 2 and 3 TE offense and do not desire the addition of a traditional FB. They would much rather add an H-Back with TE/FB versatility. Copeland is not versatile.

Sport DFW staff writer, Dan Ruppert has been singing Copeland’s praises for some time now. J.C. is wrecking ball in Nikes. He can lead block and he can carry the ball. He’s a perfect short yardage back just don’t ask him to catch.

Copeland is known to play angry and will be a nightmare to opposing defenses. He plays a little reckless on the field but is known to be a compassionate person off the field. He’s a good teammate and a feared opponent.
