Despite evidence to the contrary, the Cowboys do not consider themselves in dire need of a safety this draft. Ed Reynolds available in the 3rd will be too much for Jason Garrett to pass up. Garrett will lobby hard for the Ivy Leaguer to join the dysfunctional and clueless secondary in Dallas.

Reynolds had an up and down college career. In 2012 he looked like the best in football. But in 2013 it seemed as though he disappeared from time to time. Teams avoided him in 2013 and he only finished with 1 INT compared to the 6 he collected the year before.

Reynolds is a smart and savvy deep safety with reliable open field tackling skills. Like Jeffcoat, he comes from strong NFL bloodlines as his father also played in the NFL. The Cowboys finally secure the leader in the secondary they’ve been searching for.
