5th Round
DT Daniel McCullers
6’7” 352lbs
Got ‘em. Daniel McCullers fails to excite most draft junkies. He’s a beast of a man standing 6’7” and weighing in over 350 lbs. He doesn’t possess extraordinary athleticism or pass-rush moves and rarely penetrates the backfield. The reason McCullers excites me is how annoying and immovable he can be…
McCullers was double-teamed almost every play last season and rarely gave up an inch of ground. He took on extra blockers so others could make the plays. He kept OGs from breaking into the next level and hitting his LBs (Something Sean Lee can respect). He can play both the 1-technique in a 4-3 and the NT in a 3-4. He is exactly what the Cowboys are looking for.
