Garrett Gilbert was once known as the next big thing in the state of Texas. He was a nationally top-ranked recruit, and he committed to play his college football at the University of Texas. After a fallout over the quarterback dilemma, Gilbert transferred to SMU where he had some success. At 6’3″, 225 pounds, Gilbert looks the part. At his pro day, Gilbert completed 87 out of 88 passes. That shows a lot about his accuracy. I also believe he has a powerful arm. He is very raw, but Gilbert could learn a lot with Wade Wilson as his quarterbacks coach.
