Round Seven, Second Selection: Matt Patchan, Offensive Guard/Tackle, Boston College
I’m a big fan of offensive linemen who can get to the second level and make plays. I’m also a fan of offensive linemen who are versatile enough to play guard and tackle. That is something Matt Patchan can do. Patchan is becoming one of late-round gems, and he could very well make the transition from tackle to guard in the NFL. He was the fastest tackle at the 40-yard dash, and he could be a good backup in Dallas.
