Third Round:
Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana – I was surprised to see he was on the board. Latimer has 4.44 speed on a 6’3” 215 lbs frame. He could fight for the 2nd WR, but would also be dangerous in the slot. He has had some knocks for drops, but any game I have seen he seems to have pretty good hands. He will adjust his body for balls well and has a really good off the line speed. He does round his routes off a little too much for my liking, but that is fixable. The only other knock on Latimer would be he has only one speed. While it is a 4.4 speed, there isn’t really a second gear. If you can keep up with him, he will not usually pull away. He would be a great addition on the offensive side of the ball.
At this point in the simulation there wasn’t a lot in terms of need on the board. There is a lot of centers and RBs on the board. Anyone else that was there was a reach that I wasn’t really thinking the Cowboys would do. That brings us to round 4.
