Round 2: Billy Turner, Offensive Tackle, North Dakota State
If it weren’t for Greg Robinson and Jake Matthews, Billy Turner would be getting a ton of attention. At 6’5″, 315 pounds, Turner has the combination of size and strength that you love out of an offensive tackle. While he doesn’t have the best straight-line speed, Turner has quick feet that allow him to get around the edge. Also, you will rarely find offensive tackles in the NFL running 40 yards upfield. Doug Free could be moved inside and that would open up a hole at the right tackle position. The Cowboys have shown a ton interest in Turner and he could be their second or third round draft pick. Don’t let the school where he played at scare you, North Dakota State is a perennial powerhouse in Division I-AA football.
