I know what everyone is thinking, a punter? Mandell averages 47 yards a punt with a long of 63 yards. He is not afraid to get his nose in on a tackle and doesn’t have any mental breakdowns at all. He has the leg to play in the NFL and has kicked in all weather well. He has a terrible follow through and if he wants to add some distance to his kicks he will need to work on this. He has all the ability to make it if he fixes this.

How does he fit? Well the Cowboys have had some issues with injuries to their punter over the last few years. Mandell offers a healthy kicker who will have the chance to win the job in camp. If he can fix the mechanics he has a good chance to be the punter.
