Who Are These Guys? The Dallas Cowboys UDFAs
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports
Kolton Browning, Quarterback, Louisiana-Monroe
The Louisiana-Monroe quarterback missed two games last season and still finished with almost 2200 yards and 23 touchdowns, two were rushing. Standing at 6’1” 219 pounds he is a little on the shorter side. He is very smart when it comes to knowing where his wide receivers are and he reads progressions pretty well. He is calm under pressure and might be one of the best at selling a fake. He does have a very strange throwing motion and will need to work on mechanics to have a chance in the NFL. His arm could use some more strength to it and a little more zip on the ball.
How does he fit? Well, to be honest he really doesn’t. He will most likely be used as an arm for camps and unless he fixes his mechanics he will have an uphill battle to make the roster. He can run really well, so there is a chance there is a spot for him on the practice squad to help prepare for the slew of running quarterbacks the Cowboys can face.
