Who Are These Guys? The Dallas Cowboys UDFAs

Jarrod Pughsley, OL, Akron

Sorry for the video there wasn’t any pictures I could use for just an image. Jarrod Pughsley looks like a pretty steady offensive tackle prospect. Standing at 6’5”, 312 pounds, this is a pretty big guy to try to move on the line. Watching his videos he uses his hands really well and has some serious power. He stays with his blocks and has a really good reaction to pass rushers and delayed rushers. The knocks of course is he played some lesser competition and because of his size made it look easy. He moves his feet well, but has some work to do on his slides. He will tend to reach for a rusher at times rather than step in front of him.

How does he fit? There is always a need for depth along the offensive line. He has the size and speed to develop into a swing tackle and could even be worked out inside if need be. He is a little tall for a guard position, but I would imagine they will see what he can do. He is raw, but could stick around.
