As we turn the corner into the actual regular season (finally) I wanted to write something different.  Instead of me telling you what I ‘think’ will happen this year and making predictions, I would like for us to have a look at the current Dallas Cowboy practice squad.

With the way our beloved Cowboys are acquiring injuries this offseason and preseason, the 10 member mini-roster could very well mean the difference in a few games this regular season.  So let’s give it a go shall we?

First of all, what is the practice squad?  This will tell you everything you need to know.  For those that don’t like to click (or tap?) here is a snippet of a synopsis.

"Practice-squad players are allowed to practice with the team throughout the season, but can’t play in games unless they are called up to the 45-man game day roster. A player can be signed by another team at any time, provided the new team is going to place the man on their active roster"

Did that help?  OK great, on to it then…
