Lone Star Brahmas Well Represented At Upcoming NAHL Top Prospect Tournament

Anton Santesson is one of the five Swedish born players on the Brahmas’ roster this season. The Angelholm Sweden native is a 6’0”, 190 pound rookie defenseman who has 4G – 11A and is a +15 on the season. Santesson trails only Solovyev in scoring among Brahmas’ defensemen. In 33 games played he has accounted for 10 points on the power play. Anton’s first point and goal as a member of the Lone Star roster came in the team’s first game of the season at the NAHL Showcase Tournament. He has had three multi point games so far.

Prior to joining the Brahmas, Santesson spent the past two seasons with the Rogle J20 team in the Swedish SuperElit league. In 2012/13 he played in 44 games scoring 3G – 12A and was a +12. Last season he wore an “A” for Rogle and had 13 points on 2G – 11A in 39 games. He finished the season with a +10 rating. In both seasons he was loaned to Helsingborgs HC in Swedish Division 1 playing a total of five games.
