AJ Vanderbeck is a 17 year old rookie forward from Colorado Springs, CO who is 5’11” and 180 pounds. Vanderbeck has already signed an NCAA D-I commitment with Colorado College for the 2016/17 season. AJ registered his first NAHL point in his eighth game played this season and ended up with two points in the game. His first NAHL goal came in the second period of a game against Amarillo on October 18 that was the eventual game winner. He followed that up with a third period goal for his first multi goal game as well. In 36 games played this season Vanderbeck has 13G – 8A and is a +12 to go along with three game winning goals. He has six multi point games this season.

Before coming to North Texas, Vanderbeck spent the past two seasons playing in the Colorado Rampage system on the U16 and U18 teams of the T1EHL. In 2012/13 in a season split between the U16 and U18 levels he put up 27 points on 11G – 16A in 41 games. Last season he spent the entire season on the U16 roster and played 36 games scoring more than 1.5 points per game, logging 41G – 20A.
