And The Dallas Cowboys Defensive MVP Is…
So who deserves to be called the 2014 Dallas Cowboys’ Defensive MVP? How do we choose? How do we decide who the MVP is on this defense without slighting the other deserving candidates?
Maybe we don’t.
I often ridicule the mindless worshiping of statistics. But this is a case where I wish we had some gaudy stats to fall back on when picking the MVP. The truth is, this team just doesn’t have a player like that.
Instead of spending time saying why each of these guys shouldn’t be MVP let’s just say they all should be MVP. This blue-collar high-effort defense is exactly the kind of defense that deserves to name FOUR MVPs. It’s extremely fitting given the defense’s personality.
A cop-out?
Sure it is, but it’s fitting too. This is a worker’s defense not a superstar defense. Having four MVPs just makes sense.
