Here is the first version of SportDFW’s Dallas Cowboys’ mock draft.

With less than 55 days until the 2015 NFL Draft, it’s time for us here at SportDFW to fully push the pedal to the metal with our draft coverage. It’s no secret that the Dallas Cowboys were a success in 2014. Although they did not win the Super Bowl and they didn’t get to the NFC Championship Game, no one really expected the Cowboys to have the year they had in 2014. However, with another good year, the expectations are now higher for the Cowboys.

For the Cowboys to become Super Bowl contenders, they will need to be smart this offseason. Given the fact that their salary cap situation isn’t too inspiring, the Cowboys do not have a lot of money to spend this offseason. Their main weaknesses lie on the defensive side of the ball. The Cowboys need to upgrade their defensive line as well as their secondary. Considering their cap space, the Cowboys can’t be big players in free agency. Knowing that, the Cowboys need to be wise in the draft. Without further ado, here is the Cowboys’ first mock draft from SportDFW. We will release a new mock draft every Sunday at 12 PM ET.
