Zach Wagenmann, Defensive End, Montana (Not Pictured)

Hailing from a small school like Montana, Zach Wagenmann isn’t getting the attention other defensive ends are getting, but that shouldn’t mean much as talented players can come from any school. Montana has produced a few blue-collar players in the past few years, last year’s guy being linebacker Jordan Tripp, who now plays for the Miami Dolphins. Although Wagenmann might look a little silly with his long hair falling out of his helmet, it should be said that he has the ideal measurements to play in Dallas’ 4-3 defensive scheme as well as the motor a coach like Rod Marinelli will salivate over.

Here’s a GIF of Wagenmann’s skill off the edge at using his hands to create separation between himself and the opposing left tackle.

At 6-foot-3, 255 pounds, it’s clear that Wagenmann projects as a 4-3 defensive end. Even with the addition of Greg Hardy, defensive end seems to be a high need for the Cowboys, and while they will likely address this position early in the draft, it should be said that the Cowboys could get a solid rotational player in the undrafted period in Wagenmann.
