Alabama. T.J. Yeldon. 2. player. 123.
Admittedly, I wasn’t the biggest fan when I heard that the Cowboys were extremely interested in Alabama’s T.J. Yeldon. In Yeldon, I saw a guy that had fumbling problems in college. I also saw a guy that split carries and ran behind an offensive line that consisted of men amongst boys in college football. I also saw a guy that ran high. However, after taking a second look at the prospect, I now believe that Yeldon would be perfect in Dallas’ zone-blocking scheme.

At 6-foot-1, 225 pounds, Yeldon has great size. He isn’t the fastest back, but the Cowboys want running backs who can run through the tackles and follow their blockers. That said, Yeldon played in a zone-blocking scheme at Alabama, and he has the vision and cutting ability that is needed to play in the scheme. The Cowboys are really high on Yeldon, and if they fail to draft Melvin Gordon or Todd Gurley in the first round, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Yeldon is in fact the pick.
. RB
