This is obviously going to be one of the first signings the Mavs front office attempts to make this offseason. After his electrifying breakout in the Playoffs against the Rockets, fans and Mavs personnel began to see his worth on the defensive end of the court. Aminu already made it known that he plans on declining his player option to pursue a deal this summer. He also said that he feels like he fits with the Mavs and he is playing his best in Dallas. The main reason the Mavs would bring him back would be for his defense but that’s not the only thing he can do. Throughout the season, he became a better offensive player and his playmaking and creating also improved. The Mavs are basically looking at a young Shawn Marion right here and it is almost required that they lock him up this summer.
