The Dallas Cowboys’ training camp is in full effect. With only two days until the first preseason game, some players are already standing out.
Training camp is about different things to different players. It’s about growing, preparing, proving, and sometimes just surviving. For many, the Dallas Cowboys final 53-man roster is a dream only weeks away from realization. Still others, find themselves the brink of losing that dream forever.
Last season’s 12-4 Dallas Cowboys are carrying over most of their top players, but that doesn’t mean multiple spots aren’t up for grabs. Every day, every practice, every preseason game will help decide who makes this 2015 team.
Players like Corey White, Lucky Whitehead, Tyler Clutts, and Morris Claiborne are already standing out. Others have completely disappeared. With four preseason games still to be played, there is ample time for many of these players to change their course.
If Greg Hardy decides to accept his suspension, he will join Rolando McClain on the suspension list for the season’s first four weeks. This will buy the Cowboys extra roster spots since suspended players don’t count against the 53-man roster.
The Cowboys could then go long at positions of concern (RB anyone?) and reassess after week four. Who makes the cut and who’s left on the outside looking in? Take a tour through the Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster projection…
