Injuries Have Taken their Toll, Again

With Lance Dunbar going down and now out for the season, the Dallas Cowboys have lost their most dynamic weapon without Dez Bryant. This was only one injury as Sean Lee got a concussion, Brice Butler tweaked his hamstring on his huge play, Andrew Gachkar got banged up (which led to the last play of the game oddly), and there are still others who are playing injured. The next man up philosophy is fine when it is a guy here and there, but you can’t decrease the amount of talent like the Cowboys have and expect to win a lot of games. The injuries hurt, but the lack of depth is painful.

Without a doubt the Cowboys have the most talented injury list in the NFL right now. While the team waits for Romo and Bryant to get healthy, there will need to be people to step up. Terrance Williams did a little with the touchdown catch, but if the Cowboys are going to even have a hope of making it to the playoffs, they can’t rely on only Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley to carry them. This is where the run game and other receivers like Devin Street need to take some pressure off of the team and make plays here and there.
