So the questions that will need to be answered are:
If the Cowboys are out of the playoff picture when Romo is healthy, do you shut him down for the rest of the season? If the running game can’t get going, do you try to acquire a certain running back from Chicago? If this season keeps heading south, is Garrett’s job on the line? What will Dallas do going forward for a backup and eventual replacement for Romo? There are so many more questions that could either be forgotten or moved up the list depending on how the next few weeks unfold. Right now it doesn’t look good, but remember, the Kraken cometh.
With games against the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, and New York Giants upcoming, Hardy and McClain will be expected to hit the ground not only running, but sprinting. It is possible for the Cowboys to pull out a win or two until Romo comes back. The real questions will be what about next season and the next few after that. There has to be more behind Romo than there is currently. That will be a looming question for a while to come.
