The Cowboys look to end their slide and keep playoff hopes alive. They’ll host the Seattle Seahawks today. Here’s everything you need to know.

After a tough loss to the Giants last week, the Cowboys will look to rebound. The only problem with that is the Seattle Seahawks will be the team in Dallas toady. Though they are only 3-4, the Seahawks impressed with a blowout win over the 49ers in their last game.

The Cowboys could have Dez Bryant back depending on how he looks in pregame but he won’t be much help if Matt Cassel has the same throwing troubles he had in New York.

This game is going to be very physical, especially in terms of the defenses. The Cowboys would have a great chance with Tony Romo, but without him, I don’t think they can solve the Seahawks’ “Legion of Boom.”

I broke 2015 tradition last week in actually picking the Dallas Cowboys to win a game for the first time.

Enough said.

I’d like to choose the Cowboys over the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks this weekend, but I can’t bring myself to do it. I realize that the ‘Hawks are below .500 and that this team has certainly shown it’s vulnerability this season. Seattle’s record of 3-4 is shockingly close to the Dallas mark of 2-4.

Nonetheless, I have yet to see Dez Bryant do anything meaningful this season – that includes a Week 1 performance of five receptions for 48 yards in limited action in the first meeting with the New York Giants.

If I had any idea how much better quarterback Matt Cassel might perform against a better Seattle defensive front than he faced last week, I’d definitely take the Cowboys, a team that actually beat the Seahawks in Seattle last season.

Instead, I think the Cowboys are a floundering offense without Tony Romo that simply can’t finish the fights they start.

Neither team is as bad as their records indicate. Both the Cowboys and the Seahawks are loaded with talent and have the potential to turn it on at any point. The Cowboys’ potential is capped with Romo sidelined but with Matt Cassel they are still more than capable of beating anyone.

Both teams have been turning the ball over from the QB position and both teams will be making a conscious effort to avoid those mistakes today. This game will come down to the turnover differential and the Seahawks have the clear advantage.

Russell Wilson has a history of conservative, smart play so it’s reasonable to think he can regain that form. Matt Cassel, on the other hand, has always been a little turnover prone and will have to elevate his game to avoid easy turnovers.

The Hawks have the advantage in defense as well. The Cowboys are struggling to create turnovers and need to be opportunistic when presented opportunities. Marshawn Lynch will have another big day and the Cowboys will struggle on both ends of the field.

Prediction: Cowboys 16 Seahawks 23
