Round 4 – C.J. Prosise – Running Back – Notre Dame

Prosise isn’t a name many have heard of, however, it is a name people should pay attention to. While he should be available in the fourth round, he is raw and could intrigue a few teams earlier. He was there more than once to be taken in the fourth and so he was grabbed more than any other player in the late fourth round.

Prosise is actually a converted safety, to wide receiver, to running back. He only has one season as a starting running back under his belt, but ran for over 1,000 yards. He has about 4.4 speed and can make people miss and take a carry to the house. He will need to read and attack holes better, but with only one season, it makes sense he would need some help in that area. He can open up the pass game and would be a great addition to the committee the Cowboys have.

With a later fourth round pick the Cowboys should go with best player available. With many of the needs filled at this point a running back makes some sense. Without all of the trades the Cowboys should still look at Prosise if he makes it to the top of the 5th round, if not and they are picking late in the fourth again, Prosise might be on the radar.
