Austin Traylor, TE, Wisconsin

Traylor isn’t the fastest tight end you will see, he isn’t the strongest, nor is he the best. Traylor will do a little bit of everything to include be a full back. His routes are fairly clean and he has some ability to roll off blocks and into routes cleanly. He has decent hands and is a tall target.

Where Traylor needs to develop is a little bit everywhere. He is a jack of all trades type tight end and his real strength might be his blocking. He needs to be a little sharper on routes as will sometimes just run the route instead of running to help the quarterback. He can find the seam, but if asked to adjust the route due to what he sees, he needs more help with that part of his game.

Traylor might find himself working more as a fullback/tight end style player. He gets his body into the blocks and can hold it long enough for a running back to find a hole. He has a little nasty to his game when he gets moving and the secondary will find it hard to bring him down. If he can work on these parts of his game he will be on the practice squad for sure.
