Andy Jones, WR, Jacksonville

Andy Jones is a project, let’s be clear about this. Jones however, has a lot of raw talent and could become a depth receiver quickly. One thing about him at his pro day is he tied the best jumpers from the combine. At 6’2” his ability to jump only helped him get a tryout.

Jones is a little clunky and delayed coming off the snap. He will need to work on becoming faster into his routes and faster out of his routes. He has solid hands and will go up and attack the ball at its highest point. He is very raw and will need to show he can play special teams, but in terms of drive, no one will out work him.

Jones could stick around on the practice squad to see how he develops. Several teams including the Eagles and Dolphins were interested in him. He can become a good wide receiver with some technique work. His drive should keep him around for a little while.
