David Hedelin, Offensive Tackle, Purdue

Hedelin was a transfer from Sweden and is very raw. The bright spot is when he played he played well enough for the Purdue coach to take notice. He has the basis to be a good swing tackle. His work ethic has been noted as outstanding and loves to play the game.

Hedelin actually held himself well in both the pass and run game. He needs a lot of work and is very raw in technique and hand usage. He has decent agility and moves his feet pretty well for a guy who hasn’t been playing as long as many. He will need to put in extra work to stick around, but has shown great improvement month after month of playing.

Hedelin’s hope is on the practice squad as he is too raw to make the team at this point. He could be a future swing tackle for the Cowboys and has the size and drive to stick around. He will need to work on almost everything in his game, but it seems the raw talent and football IQ is there.
