Chris Brown, WR, Notre Dame

Brown is a bit of an enigma as a wide receiver. He has moments where it looks like he can catch anything, and then frustratingly, he loses concentration and drops the ball. He runs very good routes and has the ability to run a varied route tree.

His hands aren’t the biggest, however, he has some speed and other traits that intrigue. At Notre Dame he was a team leader and large personality. He will need to add some bulk to him, but could be a nice addition as a slot receiver.

Brown doesn’t really fit the Cowboys at this point. He will need to put in a lot of work with his hands if he wants to make the team. He could possibly be a role player and a special teams player. Most likely he will be looking at a practice squad spot if he can show enough work with his hands.

While Brown could make the team, his route running is what would capture the Cowboys’ coaches interest the most. If he can get separation and work on his concentration, he could stick around by potentially filling some holes.

He does have some speed to him and knows how to get into soft spots in a zone.
