Chris Brown, QB, Cal Poly

Yup, same name as the kid from Notre Dame. While Brown could be used as an arm for camp, there is some interesting things about him. He tried out as a wide receiver, quarterback, running back basically making him a jack of all trades — an athlete.

He had an almost 60% completion in college and averaged 12 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions over the last two seasons. He has a little bit of a slow release and needs to learn better body mechanics, but he has a huge arm, and as a dual threat quarterback, has a ton of speed.

Brown isn’t expected to really stick around as a quarterback, however, he could stick around due to his pure athletic abilities. He has the speed to play running back or wide receiver, he has the basic talent to be a special teams and role player. He will be worth watching in rookie camp to see where they play him.
